Last week, we talked about ways to entertain your dog if the two of you are stuck indoors. I must say we’ve been running through most of our own advice, as the rain continues to fall and more storms look to be on the horizon. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty done with February’s sorry excuse for weather. Still, we’ve been trying to entertain ourselves indoors, which for Topher has meant running through his puzzle toys a few times a day. After doing that a few days in a row, I wanted to add some variety, and went looking for some ideas for DIY puzzle dog toys.
If you’ve been on Pinterest searching for dog toys at all, you know I definitely did not come up with this idea. I believe the idea originated here, though I’m sure owners have been using various forms of this puzzle ball dog toy for years and years. This is more of a “proof of concept” DIY because I was very interested in how this project would fare with Topher, who is also a dog that absolutely loves disemboweling his stuffed toys.
